Description

The Aqualine 5 water filter - ABS features a 5-liter ABS storage tank. You can choose between an alkaline or pH-neutral water filter. The alkaline version (extra cost of €10.00) increases the pH of the filtered water by 1-1.5 pH points to slightly alkaline water. The non-alkaline system results in pH-neutral filtered water around 7.3. The Aqualine 5 is an ideal water filter for 1-2 person households for daily drinking water and making coffee and tea.

How does the Aqualine 5 water filter work?

1. The ceramic filter
   This is located in the reservoir tank and has a fineness of 0.2 microns (0.0002 mm). This pre-filter removes a large portion of the contaminants from the water, including bacteria, undissolved calcium and magnesium particles. The water slowly passes through the filter and then drips into the multi-stage filter.
2. The multi-step filter
   1st layer:
   High-quality, silver-impregnated, activated carbon type 30X60 with high absorption capacity.
   
   2nd layer:
   Zeolite beads. Environmentally friendly beads with a high adsorption value, filter chlorine compounds such as trihalomethanes and various heavy metals from the water, and soften the water.
   
   3rd layer:
   Silica and combination balls. The balls are a combination of various substances including tourmaline, zeolite, and kaolin. They have a redox function and an antibacterial effect.
   
   4th layer:
   Illite combination balls. They emit a far-infrared frequency of 9.23 micrometers. This frequency vibrates at the same frequency as the human body. This activates cells, stimulates and increases microcirculation. They soften the water to a pH of approximately 7.5. Furthermore, they also have an antibacterial effect.
3. Making the water alkaline/basic with the pH ring
   If you choose the alkaline version (extra cost of €10.00), a pH ring will be included. This ring is filled with magnetite beads, tourmaline beads, alkaline beads, and magnesium beads. The ring increases the pH value of the filtered water by an average of 1–1.5 pH points, resulting in slightly alkaline water. The exact pH level achieved depends on your tap water. Furthermore, the pH ring lowers the ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) value, giving the water antioxidant properties.
4. Mineralizing the water
   During the extensive filtration process, some minerals are filtered out of the water. The lower tank contains Elvan mineral stones, a unique volcanic rock found only in a few places on Earth. The Elvan stones in the Aqualine systems originate from South Korea. These porous stones contain 18 different minerals that are slowly released into the filtered water. The amounts released are comparable to the minerals found in natural water. Some of these Elvan stones are impregnated with silver, preventing bacterial growth in the stagnant water. This allows the water to remain potable for weeks.
5. To revitalize the water.
   Vitalization is a unique process that mimics nature. Water in nature never flows in a straight line like our drinking water is pumped through pipes. In nature, water encounters rocks or other irregularities in the river, falls down a waterfall, or is forced through a bend. This creates a vortex, where the water molecules (H2O) form a beautiful structure through hydrogen bonds. The magnetic tap contains 4 different magnets of 1200 Gauss. The plus and minus poles of these magnets alternate. This creates a vortex, just as it happens in nature. The magnetic effect creates smaller clusters of water molecules. Furthermore, any electromagnetic pollution in the water is neutralized.

Maintenance

An Aqualine water filter requires minimal maintenance. The filters should be replaced once a year, and the mineral stones after three years.
You also don't have to worry about bacteria in the water. Some of the mineral stones are impregnated with silver, which prevents bacterial growth.

Please note, if you filter more than 2000 liters of water in less than a year, you should replace the filters sooner. (For example, if you filter an average of 10 liters of water per day, replace the filters after 200 days).
